Here’s a note we recently received from a faithful friend of Faith Encouraged:

“We need more of this straight talk to wake us up to the evil creeping paralysis especially for us in the West! … I needed to hear this today, thank you, Father.”

But I started Faith Encouraged specifically to help me stay connected to daily Bible reading and keeping the central focus that my life in Christ was supposed to transform me to become “like” Him!

Turns out there were a lot of folks who wanted the same thing!

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce the Daily Devotional is moving exclusively to Substack in January 2024. Some of you have noticed that you’re getting two devotionals a day. That’s because the team that is working on redesigning the website is also migrating all our subscribers to the new Substack location. By January everybody will be at the new site!

But I need your help.

If you find these daily visits helpful, please share them with others.

We have big plans to expand Faith Encouraged in 2024. We are currently working on a new program that will feature Fr. Barnabas talking to guests and working to help us apply our Orthodox Faith in our everyday lives. The program is meant to redefine what a “Normal” human life is supposed to be!

We are also completely redoing our current website to better serve you. This will include improvements in our social media outreach.

Fr. Barnabas is hitting the road in 2024 with scheduled events in Charlotte, NC; Cleveland, OH; Fort Myers, FL; Lancaster, PA; Scottsdale, AR; and Asbury, NJ. More requests are coming in, and we are trying to say “yes” to as many as Father’s schedule will allow!

That’s why our end-of-the-year Giving Campaign is so important. We are already over halfway to our goal of $5000 in one-time gifts, and we are still looking for those partners that will make a monthly gift to support the ministry of Faith Encouraged. Your gift of $20, $30, or $50 will help us buy new equipment, redesign the website, and start producing the new program,

Will you help?

We are generous because He has already been generous to us! Keep this in mind in all the hustle and bustle of the season:

“Your Nativity, O Christ our God, has shined the light of knowledge upon the world; for thereby they that worshipped the stars were instructed by a star to worship You, the Sun of Righteousness, and to know You, the Dayspring from on high. O Lord, glory be to You.”

Thank you so much for your participation and our common vision to become by grace what Christ is by nature.

God bless you!
