Today we see the Lord confront an all too human temptation to reduce life to mere rote repetition. He heals a woman on the Sabbath and that uncovers the unloving hearts of those around Him. He takes this opportunity to teach and remind them of their own kindness to their own animals and doesn’t one created in God’s image deserve at least a much?
