I listened to the podcast “Rapturemania” on Sunday evening. I loved the descriptions about Dispensationalism, Zionism and Millenialism. Like the final caller, I was disappointed, though, that the show mainly focused on what Orthodox do NOT believe as opposed to what we do believe and teach.
There are so many who are extremely entrenched into this false eschatology and I was hoping to use this program as something I could send to them to hear the Truth on the matter. But, unfortunately, I don’t feel that any alternatives or “tools” were really given to combat this false belief.
We need quotes from councils and church fathers, etc. The statement early in the program that an Ecumenical Council addressed the idea of Millenialism is great, but which one and where is it?
Maybe you could do a follow-up program actively defending the predominant Orthodox view of eschatology?
